Reaching Through The Darkness

He reaches for my hand through the darkness, turns on his side and whispers, "Are you worried?"  "Yes."
We talk about our fears, saying them out loud to one another. Many have told us to not go there but we know that going there, especially going there together is not something to fear but to embrace.

Fears can sometimes be diminished when divided by two. Thankful you are not walking in the dark alone, in more ways than One.

Was cleaning up some old emails and ran across the link to this blog. I was touched to read about your present journey. Some folks know where God is going because they are in control. Some are riding along with them without even looking out the window. How can we know where God will lead when we are still being surprised at how He designed a fly's toes. Your last months of traveling demonstrates our natural insecurities and useless efforts to plan our own path. Hang to the knowledge that there is Someone at the wheel who truely DOES see the road.

God Bless,

I am so glad you are "going there" with your loved one. You both deserve that level of honesty and intimacy.

We indeed can draw strength from others, my friend, and in such bond find, as well, the vertical flow moving in the horizontal, an anchor in the midst of the storm....

Ah, how beautiful. In my opinion, how can you NOT "go there?"
What a gift to have a companion.
